Castor Oil for Fibroids | Ovarian Cysts

Throughout history, castor oil has provided many health benefits to treat conditions of a wide range. Castor oil packs serve as natural fibroid treatments, and is one of the most popular treatments for it. Castor oil was discovered by Edgar Cayce, a natural healer. He started the use for many conditions, including constipation, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, arthritis and more!

Castor oil is made using the castor oil seed, and has the fatty acid, ricinoleic acid, which is thought to provide a majority of its health benefits. Over the centuries, it has been used more and more frequently to combat fibroids in an all-natural treatment.

Benefits of Castor Oil Packs

Castor oil helps the immune system, and can be taken orally or topically. When castor oil packs are used, they can boost certain aspects of the immune system. Some studies have shown that they can increase the lymphocytes to fight diseases better, as well as to eliminate toxins and wastes. In some cases, the lymphocytes can’t work as well, creating a mass of toxins, which create inflammation and some diseases.

Fibroids can be the result of this build up, so using castor oil to increase these disease-fighting cells can bring an end to your fibroid tumor troubles. It is thought that one way they work is that the anti-inflammatory qualities of castor oil shrink the tumors down.

Using Castor Oil Packs

Castor oil packs are simple to use and even make. The oil is absorbed into the skin, though you can apply it straight onto the area. You will need a few things: a heating pad or hot water bottle is needed to allow the oil to enter the body, along with some plastic wrap, pieces of flannel and an old towel. You’ll also need organic cold pressed castor oil, which is pesticide-free.

Make sure that you’re not allergic by testing the castor oil on a small patch of your skin. Once you know you’re fine, soak the flannel in the castor oil. Lie down with your face up, feet elevated and a pillow beneath your knees and feet. Set the flannel over the fibroid-ridden area, cover in plastic wrap and place the pad on top of it.

Insulate using an old shirt or towel to keep the heat in, and leave for 45-60 minutes. Remove the pack, and wash your skin with soap and water. Store the pack in a ziplock and reuse whenever you need to. It’s most effective to use the pack for four days a week for up to a month.

A Word of Advice

Castor oil packs can be quite messy, so be prepared for the mess by wearing old clothes or keeping a towel underneath you to prevent stains to anything important. Using the pack for a month should provide an idea of how effective it is as a treatment, allowing you to choose if you should continue (in most cases, tremendous results are seen in just one month — even completely gone).

Don’t use this treatment if you are planning to become pregnant or on your menstrual cycle, as it can interfere with the process/cycle.

Using castor oil packs for fibroids is a great way to naturally treat these uterine tumors.
