All-Natural Solutions for Varicose Veins

Varicose veins can be very embarrassing as well as painful. Many women become victims of varicose veins as they age or even when they are pregnant. While there aren’t too many medical treatments than can help with varicose veins, there are some very effective natural remedies to make these guys disappear.

Chili Pepper for Varicose Veins

Chili peppers can help improve blood circulation, thereby helping decongest the clogged veins, also known as varicose veins. Try adding small amounts of chili pepper to your diet every day for the improved circulation.


Garlic is a great substitute for those that don’t care for chili peppers. Garlic is well known for its ability to help reduce inflammation, which will help dramatically with varicose veins. Try incorporating more garlic into your diet, shooting for 1-2 cloves per day. Or, mince some garlic cloves and combine with a little bit of alcohol for a topical ointment a few times per week.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Simply pour a small amount of apple cider vinegar onto a towel and apply to your veins, massaging gently for about 10 minutes. You can also take an immersion bath with warm water, a cup of sea salts, and one cup of apple cider vinegar; soak your legs for at least 20 minutes.

DIY Topical Cream

Combine aloe vera gel, apple cider vinegar, and carrot juice into a food processor or blender until they are well mixed into a paste. Apply this cream to affected areas and allow to sit for 30 minutes, then rinse.

Leafy Application

This solution does require a little more effort, but it is probably one of the most effective for varicose veins. Simply boil two liters of water, add mint leaves, chamomile leaves, and a handful of laurel. Let the leaves steep for about five minutes and remove from heat.

When the mixture is cool, bring it over to the tub and carefully pour in, along with a pinch of baking soda, then soak your feet in the tub. You can also just apply the boiled leaves directly to the veins. Test the application on a small area first to make sure you are not allergic to any of the ingredients.

Essential Oils for Varicose Veins 

There are many essential oils that are great for varicose veins, and all you need to is simply apply a couple of drops directly to the skin and massage. Some of the best essential oils include chamomile, lemon, lemongrass, rosemary, geranium, ginger, helichrysum, and frankincense.

While most of these can be applied directly to the skin, it is better to mix your essential oil(s) with a carrier oil, such as jojoba, avocado, coconut, and olive. This helps your oil last longer and reduces the risk of a reaction.


To prevent and reverse varicose veins, you should also make sure you are eating a healthy diet and exercising regularly. Since the unsightliness of varicose veins is often caused by poor circulation, make sure you get up and move around as much as possible.

A diet full of organic fruits and vegetables can never be overstated as they are full of vitamins and nutrients that maintain healthy circulation and can prevent varicose veins.
